I saw this candlestick, in it's previous form, while on a treasure hunt in one of my favorite little vintage shops.  I fell in love with its angular shape and just had to take it home to play with ideas of how to refinish and decorate it. 

The finished look, with its sharp angles and hand painted details, has a cool African vibe that I just love.
